INVESTIGATING ANIMAL ATTACK

El Paso, TX – On Monday, January 14, 2019, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Licon Dairy in reference to an animal welfare call just after 7:30am.

Sheriff’s Office deputies were advised by the victim that two unknown dogs made their way into one of their animal pens attacking and killing several of their animals.

The victim shot the German Shepherd and Pitbull mix in an attempt to stop the attack, subsequently killing both dogs. The animals and dogs were buried by the victim. 

Animal Welfare Officers took over the investigation, in accordance with the Sheriff’s Office contract to provide animal control services to the City of San Elizario.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for assistance in locating or identifying the owners of the two dogs involved if anyone has any information regarding this investigation please contact the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office at (915)832-4408.

The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
