SHERIFF’S OFFICE EXPLORER POST 2005

SPRING BREAK TRAINING SESSION

March 18, 2019

El Paso, TX – The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Explorer Post 2005 and Community Services Section will conduct their annual spring break training session March 18 – 22, 2019.

The goal of the Explorer Post is to afford an opportunity to young adults of the community to observe, participate and learn about law enforcement. The explorer post and its advisors provide explorers with education, training, and important information upon which to base their decision to pursue a career in law enforcement.

The Explorer Post and Community Service Section will practice and review inmate processing, cell extractions, arrest and search, white collar crime, traffic stops, crime scene investigation, first aid, hostage negotiation, and pistol shooting.

Training will be held at the Sheriff’s Office Region VIII Academy, March 18 – 22, 2019, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Training is open to our media partners; please contact Leslie Antunez for scheduling.
