El Paso, TX – On Tuesday, June 4, 2019, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office received information that a former San Elizario High School student made threats via social media that he was going to shoot up everyone at the school. The action caused fear for the safety of the students and San Elizario High School staff as their school year is still in session.

Through the course of the investigation, the offender was identified as a 15-year-old male. He was taken into custody at his residence in Socorro, Texas by Sheriff’s Office Detectives and Deputy Constables.  The former student was charged with Terroristic Threat (fear of imminent bodily injury), a Class B Misdemeanor and referred to the County Attorney’s Office
