OPERATION SAFE STREETS RESULTS

El Paso, Texas – The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with County Court Administration, recently completed a 23-day operation titled “Operation Safe Streets”. The process consisted of three phases: Public Awareness, a Self–Surrender Period, and Warrant Roundup. The operation began on August 9th, 2023, with a press conference and ended on September 1st, 2023. The self-surrender period came to an end, with a total of 62 individuals voluntarily presenting themselves, thereby resolving bonds valued at $634,478.00. The subsequent warrant roundup, involving the collaboration of peace officers from various law enforcement agencies, led to the apprehension of 175 individuals and the resolution of bonds amounting to $1,784,926.00.
The complete operation resulted in the execution of 74 felony and 206 misdemeanor warrants, with a total of $2,419,404.00 in bonds collected. The success of this operation is attributed to the multi-agency collaboration between all agencies, offices, and departments that participated in the operation.
