SHERIFF’S OFFICE ARRESTS INDIVIDUAL FOR ANIMAL CRUELTY

El Paso, TX – On February 15, 2021, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a residence located in the 19000 block of Tierra Dr. in Tornillo, Texas in reference to animal cruelty.

Upon arrival, deputies learned from the dog owner that their dog had been killed by a male individual that resides in the same neighborhood. The owner stated the male individual struck the dog with a metal rod, the dog subsequently succumbed to its injury.

As a result of the investigation, deputies identified the individual as Francisco Jesus Terrazas, age 31, and a warrant of arrest was issued for Cruelty Non-Livestock Animal.

On February 17, 2021, Terrazas was taken into custody at his residence without incident and was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a bond of $50,000.
