  • Getting on the Vendor List

  • Getting on the vendor list is very easy. There is a simple form the vendor needs to fill out to be considered for formal bids. For informal bids (telephone bids) need only submit a letter to the Purchasing Agent stating that the vendor would like to start competing in the County's bid process.

  • The vendor must also list the goods or services the vendor wishes to bid. A vendor is not officially placed in the computerized vendor list until the vendor is awarded a bid.

  • However, the vendors information will be kept by the formal bid clerk, and bids will be solicited from that vendors list. Vendors may follow up their letters requesting to be placed on the County's vendor list with a visit with the buyer who handles their commodities, but we ask that the vendor call first to make an appointment.

  • Vendors may drop by unannounced, but we cannot guarantee the buyer or Purchasing Agent will be available to speak with the vendor.
