FINANCIAL reporting

Provides ongoing analysis, updates and publication of financial reports of the County Auditor’s office. Other duties and responsibilities encompass ensuring compliance with all financial accounting principles and pronouncements such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB); and oversight and preparation of numerous financial processes and reporting requirements such as Monthly Interim Financials, Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), Funds and Fees of Office Report, Texas Indigent Defense Commission (TIDC) Data Capture and Reporting, Judicial Transparency and others special financial reports as requested. This division collaborates with Cash Management-Audit regarding preparation of the annual County Investment Policy and preparation of Quarterly Investment Reports. Division plays a vital role in collaboration with the County Financial Advisor, Bond Counsel and County Administration regarding debt issuances, monitoring and reporting requirements of outstanding debt issuances, payment schedules, principal and interest payments and required disclosure reporting, arbitrage reporting, debt service continuing disclosure and the annual cost allocation plan.
