  • What is our mission?
  • Our mission is to provide precise information to everyone (general public) regarding rights and responsibilities under Texas Family Law. FLIC is especially interested in those cases involving children. FLIC will aid persons in making informed and correct decisions.

  • Better information will provide greater access to justice by helping persons make informed choices, whether represented by counsel or self-represented (Pro se). FLIC will not be limited to litigants. The purpose is to educate members of the public about family law, the most common form of law in most person's lives.

  • What does FLIC have to offer?
  • 1. FLIC can provide information in response to direct inquiries.
  • 2. Produces informational publications and videos.
  • 3. Live presentations will be available throughout the community in conjunction with social service agencies, civic groups, schools, the community college and the university.
  • 4. FLIC offers informational classes under the supervision of experienced family law attorneys.
  • 5. Pro se assistance.
  • 6. Informational publications/videos/live presentations will be available in both English and Spanish.

  • How was FLIC created?
  • FLIC was created as a pilot program. This program is made possible through a grant from the Texas Bar Foundation.

  • FLIC is housed within the Domestic Relations Office, suite LL-108 of the El Paso County Courthouse.
