MOTHER-FRIENDLY WORKSITE

 

The County of El Paso supports all employees and visitors who choose to breastfeed and has been designated a Mother-Friendly Worksite by the Texas Department of State Health Services.

The County’s Mother-Friendly Worksite policy makes it easier for nursing mothers to return to work following childbirth. Its primary objectives are to increase optimal health outcomes for infants and mothers; improve employee retention and productivity; and reduce absenteeism and health care costs.

HRThe Mamava pods will provide employees and visitors alike a private and sanitary place for nursing mothers to maintain breastfeeding while visiting the Courthouse.

The pods are located in the Lower Level and in the 11th floor of the County Courthouse, they may be accessed using the Mamava App, which can be downloaded for Android and Apple phones here.
