  • Our Commitment to Victims
  • The West Texas Community Supervision and Corrections Department is strongly committed to victims of crime as evidenced by one of the department's mission statement.
  •
  • In the effort to enhance this jurisdiction 's ability to incapacitate and rehabilitate its criminal population, we are dedicated to establishing and maintaining community-based sanctions and programs which will serve the habilitative and rehabilitative needs of the offender, as well as contribute to the protection of the community and THE RIGHTS OF VICTIMS OF CRIME.
  •
  • Mission of the Victim Services Program
  • The mission of the program is to assist ALL victims of crime whose offender is on community supervision (probation).
  •
  • History of VSP
  • The VSP was established in 1997 after receiving a Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant administered by the Governor's Office. This grant originally funded two and a half full time personnel. In June 2000, the program was expanded to include restitution services and now funds five full time personnel: 3 Technicians, 1 Probation Officer, and the Coordinator.
