El Paso, Texas – On Wednesday, May 17, 2023, Sheriff Richard Wiles and the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, and other El Paso County Agencies honored and remembered fallen county law enforcement officers during the 6th Annual County Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony. The Sheriff's Office hosted the event at the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Headquarters Memorial Wall at 3850 Justice Dr., El Paso, TX 79938. During the ceremony, the Sheriff's Office paid tribute to the lives of those who protect and serve us every minute of every day and honored the courageous officers who devoted themselves so entirely to others that, in the process, they laid down their lives. May 14 through May 20, 2023, is observed as "National Police Week" nationwide, recognizing law enforcement officers who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty protecting the public they serve.
