VIN ETCHING & CHILD FINGERPRINTING EVENT

EL PASO, TX - On August 19, 2023, The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and Constables Office Pct.6 partnered with the El Paso Police Department Auto Theft Task Force to hold a Vehicle Theft Prevention/Free VIN Etching Event at the San Eli Supermarket located at 1330 N. Fabens Rd. from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

VIN Etching is the process where the vehicle’s identification number is permanently etched onto the vehicle. The process takes about 15 minutes to perform. Deputies and Constables also offered free child fingerprinting to the residents of Fabens and the surrounding communities. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office will be offering these events to give back to the community and help give parents peace of mind if their child goes missing. During the event 45 vehicles were etched and 40 children were fingerprinted

Additionally, we would like to thank Mr. Stephen Plummer with the El Paso Police Department Auto Theft Task Force, Starbucks located at 3400 Joe Battle for providing the coffee and Constable Javier Garcia from Justice Of the Peace Precinct 6-2 Office for providing the food and drinks.
