| September 15, 2023 EL PASO, TEXAS – The El Paso Sheriff’s Office Community Services, Traffic Division and Commissioner Iliana Holguin participated in the 2023 Ysleta High School Homecoming Parade on Thursday, September 14, 2023. This year’s parade theme was “Mario Brothers Ysleta Party.” The procession commenced at Capistrano Elementary School and concluded at Ysleta High School. The educational institution organized a pep rally at the legendary Hutchins Stadium, observing various customary school practices, including paying tribute to the distinguished “honored ex” and performances by the cheer and dance teams. It was a privilege to partake in the event alongside the esteemed presence of the Sheriff’s Office vintage 1953 Chevy pickup truck, the 2005 GMC Hummer 2, and our 2018 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Motorcycles from the Traffic Division. Ms. Ibeth Perez, Student Activity Director at Ysleta High School, oversaw the well-coordinated event. Additionally, we would like to extend special recognition to the entire Ysleta High School staff, the student body, and the community of Ysleta for ensuring the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office’s participation in this significant community event.
