El Paso, Texas – On July 5, 2023, Deputies from the Fugitive Apprehension Unit received an arrest warrant for 55-year-old FOX, Lester Lynn. FOX was wanted on one felony warrant for Aggravated Sexual Assault Child (5 Counts) and Indecency with a Child. Deputies made contact with FOX at the 5000 block of Joe Herrera. Fox was taken into custody without incident and subsequently booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a 425,000.00 bond.swe

FUGITIVE APPREHENSION UNIT ARREST- Michael Davidson

El Paso, Texas – On Friday, July 7, 2023, Deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit received an arrest warrant for 44-year-old Davidson, Michael Danny, who was wanted for Robbery. Deputies made contact with Davidson at the 1800 block of Robert Wynn St. Davidson was taken into custody without incident and subsequently booked into the El Paso County Jail for Robbery with a bond of $50,000.00.

TEXAS KIDS DENTAL CARE WESTERN FAIR 2023

El Paso, Texas – On Saturday, July 8th, 2023, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Community Service Section and the Crisis Intervention Team participated in the Texas Kids Dental Care Western Fair 2023. Texas Kids Dental Care sponsors this event, and with charitable donations, the organization will purchase school supplies for those in need. The event occurred at the Texas Kids Dental Care, 3650 Joe Battle, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event showcases businesses, city entities, charitable organizations, mascots, and local entertainment. They had food trucks, a live DJ, a car show, law enforcement, and first responder vehicles on display.

INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE 2023

El Paso, Texas – The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Community Service, and the Explorer Post 2005, celebrated the 4th of July with several organizations in the 25th Annual Parade organized by the Rotary Club of West El Paso Tuesday, July 4th, 2023, at 9:00 am. The parade began at Western Hills Church off Thunderbird and proceeded to Coronado High School. The parade is the largest single community event on the West Side, and thousands of spectators enjoy all kinds of floats, marching bands, military groups, and many others. The Sheriff’s Office has participated for 14 years and has enjoyed the “good old red, white, and blue” parade year after year.

Parks After Sunset event at Mark Twain

El Paso, Texas – On Friday, June 30, 2023, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Deputies assigned to the East Montana Patrol Station participated in the Parks After Sunset Movie Event at the Horizon Hills Park at 12650 Mark Twain in El Paso County, Texas. The movie of the night was Spider-man: No Way Home. Deputies grilled hot dogs for the residents, and Marcos Pizza provided free pizza. El Paso County Animal Welfare also participated and offered free microchips to residents.

DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES AND THEFT ARREST - ERIC CARDENAS

El Paso, Texas – Investigators from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office East Montana Patrol Station have investigated several cases involving Deceptive Business Practices and Theft. As a result of those investigations, a subject named Eric Cardenas was identified and charged with three counts of theft. Cardenas had been listed as one of El Paso’s most Wanted and actively avoided apprehension. Through collaborative efforts between the Sheriff’s Office Target Response Unit, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the El Paso Police Department, Cardenas was taken into custody. Cardenas remains in the El Paso County Jail without bond.

EL PASO, TEXAS – On June 29, 2023, Investigators from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office East Montana Patrol Station attempted to locate the wanted subject, Miguel Alfaro. Deputies located Alfaro at his residence, and he was taken into custody. Alfaro was subsequently booked into the El Paso County Jail. Motion To Revoke Probation/Assault Bond: $8,000.00, PR Revocation/DWI 3rd or more Bond: $25,000, and Evading Arrest Det w/ a vehicle Bond $ 30,000.

FUGITIVE APPREHENSION UNIT ARREST–EDUARDO VALLES

El Paso, Texas - On Thursday, June 28, 2023, Deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Fugitive and Apprehension Unit received an arrest warrant for 40-year-old Valles, Eduardo, who was wanted on a felony criminal warrant with four counts of Indecency w/Child. Deputies attempted to contact Valles at the 5500 block of Oakbraiar Cir with negative results. Valles later turned himself into Deputies and was taken into custody at the 600 block of E. Overland. Valles was subsequently booked into the El Paso County Jail with a $200,000.00 bond.

County Shuts Down a Quarter Mile of Rojas for Repairs

All eastbound lanes of Rojas Drive between Bill Burnett Dr. and Chapel Hill Rd. will be closed for possibly two months while maintenance crews repair the roadway. Westbound lanes will remain open through this area. At approximately 5:30 p.m., June 26th, a shifting of concrete pavement was reported. At 6:00 p.m., County maintenance crews closed that section of the roadway. Please use extra caution around these areas and add spare time to your commute for this detour.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) is requesting assistance in locating the following missing person. On 06/23/2023 at approximately 1215 hours, the pictured person, identified as Jose Puga, 20 years of age was reported missing from the area of the 1300 block of Lomaland Dr. Mr. Puga was last seen wearing: Long sleeve orange neon shirt with reflective lines, dark colored jeans, light brown work boots. Jose is believed to need medical assistance. Anyone with information regarding Jose Puga, or his whereabouts is asked to contact the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Crisis Intervention Team at 915-832-4408 or 9-1-1.
