THE MONTANA PATROL STATION AND THE EL PASO COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE COMMUNITY SERVICES SECTION SPREAD HOLIDAY CHEER WITH CHRISTMAS TOY DONATIONS

EL PASO, TX - El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Deputies from the Montana Patrol Station and the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Community Services Section visited the Region 19 Red Sands Elementary Head Start in Montana Vista, Texas, on December 14, 2023. During this visit, they graciously presented gifts to the children in attendance. Right Drive Dealership generously donated over 100 toys, enabling deputies to engage and interact actively with the children and school staff. This initiative aims to foster stronger relationships and contribute to the community they diligently serve. With the help of these enchanting toys designed exclusively for little ones aged six months to three years, our passionate Deputies have successfully spread the magic of the holiday season throughout our community, bringing joy and warmth to countless families through their incredibly thoughtful contributions. .

Viejitos Car Club, Whataburger, and El Paso County Sheriff's Office Join Forces for Successful Toy Drive Event

EL PASO, TX - December 17, 2023 – The Viejitos Car Club, Whataburger, and the El Paso County Sheriff's Office are proud to announce the overwhelming success of their collaborative toy drive event, "Santa with a Badge," held on December 16, 2023. The event, which took place at the Whataburger located at 9500 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79925, featured a vibrant car show where the entry fee was an unwrapped toy, all of which will be donated to children in El Paso County.

The Santa with a Badge event brought together car enthusiasts, community members, and law enforcement in a heartwarming display of generosity and holiday spirit. The Viejitos Car Club, known for their dedication to both classic cars and community service, played a pivotal role in organizing the event and rallying their members to participate in the toy drive. Whataburger, a beloved local establishment, graciously offered their space and support to host the event, further demonstrating their commitment to giving back to the community. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office, represented by dedicated deputies and staff, lent their support to ensure the seamless execution of the toy drive and will oversee the distribution of the donated toys to children in need throughout El Paso County.

TRUNK OF HOPE - SANTA WITH A BADGE TOY GIVEAWAY

EL PASO, TX - The annual Trunk of Hope event was hosted on December 17, 2023, at the Tornillo Fire Substation on OT Smith Rd, in El Paso County, TX. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office undertook this collaborative effort in conjunction with Operation Hope. This yearly occasion brings delight to numerous underprivileged children during the festive holiday season. In conjunction with various car club toy drives, the Community Service deputies of the El Paso County Sheriff's Office gathered a substantial amount of toys. We express our deepest gratitude to the esteemed Viejitos Car Club and Majesty Car Club for their generous acts of kindness by hosting car shows and their unwavering commitment to efficiently managing the collection of toys. Furthermore, we would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the Family Dollar stores that have generously provided toy collection boxes and diligently hosted our successful toy drives. We wholeheartedly extend our deepest thanks to Whataburger's staff and management, who donated food and volunteered their time at our various toy drives and giveaways. Finally, we thank every El Paso County community member who donated and joyfully filled children's hearts by generously contributing toys. Our primary goal is to foster and conserve these cherished partnerships, which have graciously allowed us to bring immense joy to numerous children.

NORTHWEST PATROL STATION CHRISTMAS TOY GIVEAWAY

EL PASO, TX - The "Christmas Toy Giveaway" was carried out on December 15, 2023, by the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Deputies and staff from the Northwest Patrol Station in collaboration with CID Detectives. The event occurred during the Village of Vinton's food pantry event hosted at "Dr. Howard Applegate Park." With great appreciation, we acknowledge the notable contribution of socks graciously donated by students from "Mesita Elementary School." Holiday cheer blanketed the neighborhoods of Westway, Vinton, Canutillo, and Anthony as the grateful locals were bestowed with a glistening array of toys and cozy socks to kindle their Christmas spirit. Families have consistently expressed their appreciation to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office as they extend their gratitude to the deputies responsible for distributing the toys and socks.

PRESENTATION AT AMERICAS HIGH SCHOOL

EL PASO, TX - On December 12, 2023, Deputies Gonzales and Alvillar from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office were extended an invitation by the students of Americas High School's "Libertas Academy for Law, Government, and Public Administration" to deliver a presentation to their class. Students were provided a comprehensive overview of the responsibilities of a Deputy Sheriff and a Detention Officer. A curtain of knowledge unfolded before their eager minds, revealing the precise steps necessary to become a El Paso County Sheriff's Office member. Deputies also discussed their role in government, and the responsibilities assumed when giving testimony in a court of law. Both the students and staff deeply appreciated the presence of the Sheriff's Office on their campus.

THE PETER J. HERRERA PATROL STATION AND TARGETED RESPONSE UNIT SPREAD HOLIDAY CHEER WITH CHRISTMAS TOY DONATIONS

EL PASO, TX - On December 12, 2023, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Deputies assigned to the Peter J. Herrera Station and the Targeted Response Unit visited and donated gifts to children at the Region 19 David Sublasky Head Start located in Fabens, Texas. The event allowed Deputies to engage and interact with the children and school staff to establish a closer relationship and give back to the community they serve. Among the gifts were toys and clothing items for the children ages six months to three years old and allowed the Deputies to provide holiday cheer to families in our community with their generous donations.

EL PASO, TX - The Women Behind the Badge Program, an initiative spearheaded by the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, made an impact as they actively participated in a remarkable event called the Twisted X-Mas Blanket and Toy Drive, which took place at the infamous Forbidden Acres Haunted House on December 3, 2023. This event brought together community members from all walks of life and offered a diverse range of exciting experiences that amazed everyone. One of the event's highlights was the captivating live performances that mesmerized the audience with their talent and skill. From enchanting acts to awe-inspiring routines, these performances added a touch of magic to the already festive atmosphere. Furthermore, various vendors showcasing their unique products and services added to the excitement by offering attendees a chance to explore various merchandise. However, what truly made the Twisted X-Mas Blanket and Toy Drive a resounding success was the support of the El Paso community. Their generosity and willingness to give back were truly admirable, as they wholeheartedly contributed towards this noble cause by donating blankets and toys.

Career Days at Desert Hills Elementary and Horizon Middle School

EL PASO, TX - In November, Desert Hills Elementary and Horizon Middle School held career days on their premises. The El Paso Sheriff's Detention Officers and Deputies actively participated and interacted excellently with the students. On behalf of the school's resource deputy, Duran, we thank all the officers who took the time to address the students and provide them with valuable insights into their department. They represented their respective sections in a commendable manner.
