FUGITIVE APPREHENSION UNIT ARREST- Lilian Pinales

El Paso, Texas On May 22, 2023, Deputies from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit received a felony arrest warrant for 40-year-old Lilian Pinales. Deputies located Pinales outside her residence near the 9300 block of Hollings St, El Paso County. Pinales was apprehended without incident and subsequently booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility for Murder. Pinales is being held without bond.

INCIDENT WITH SERIOUS INJURIES – Horizon Blvd. & Mark Twain UPDATE

May 22, 2023

El Paso, Texas On May 19, 2023, at approximately 11:38 PM, El Paso County Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to a report of a subject down at the area of 13000 block of FitzPatrick Way, El Paso County, Texas. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a male subject lying in the middle of the roadway, unresponsive with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The male subject was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The male subject was ssslater identified as 19-year-old Adan Tiscarreno. Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit were requested to take over the investigation.

Throughout the investigation, it was determined that Tiscarreno had gotten into a confrontation with 20 year- old Jose Manuel Villa in the desert area near Horizon Blvd. and Mark Twain. During the confrontation, Villa fired several rounds from a handgun, hitting Tiscarreno once in the back, causing his death. Villa was taken into custody and was charged with Murder. Villa was booked into the El Paso County Jail on a $1,000,000 bond

INCIDENT WITH SERIOUS INJURIES – Horizon Blvd. & Mark Twain

EL PASO, TEXAS – On May 19th, 2023, at approximately 11:50 pm., El Paso County Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to a call in reference to shots fired at the intersection of Horizon Blvd. and Mark Twain Ave. in El Paso County. A 19-year-old male was transported to a local area hospital with serious injuries. Sheriff's Office Major Crimes unit was called out and is currently investigating the scene. The investigation is in its preliminary stages, and no further information is available at this time. There is no imminent threat to the surrounding community.

DELIVERY OF COFFEE, DONUTS, AND LUNCH IN RECOGNITION OF NATIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT WEEK

El Paso, Texas The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is always grateful to our community partners for thinking of our personnel.

On Friday, May 19, 2023, Edith Ortiz, Executive Assistant; Larry Arellano, Sales Manager; Ivan Jaquez, Location Manager/Funeral Director; and Velia Lozano, General Manager from Funeraria Del Angel and Dignity Memorial, stopped by Headquarters, the East Montana Patrol Station, and the Jail Annex to deliver coffee and donuts.

Amanda Acosta, Assisted Living Director, and Alondra Rivera, Clinical Liaison with Vibra Life of El Paso, also stopped by with coffee and donuts in appreciation for law enforcement.

Erika Baltazar, General Manager with Martin Funeral Home, stopped by the Northwest Patrol Station to extend their appreciation with snacks and drinks to the men and women of law enforcement.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Officers Association delivered Peter Piper Pizza to law enforcement assigned to our headquarters, concluding the week of delivered lunches to include the three patrol substations.

Furthermore, Iraceli Carlo, Sales Manager, and Vanessa Castro, Family Service Counselor, also provided lunch from Jimmy John's to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Communications Office. The deliveries are in recognition of "National Law Enforcement Week" and as a thank you for the service and sacrifices that each Deputy, Detention Officer, and Telecommunicator make every day. May 14 through May 20, 2023, is observed as "National Law Enforcement Week" nationwide, recognizing law enforcement officers who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty protecting the public they serve.

Most Wanted Fugitives Week of May 19, 2023

FUGITIVE APPREHENSION UNIT ARREST- Jesus Antonio Mendez Jr

El Paso, Texas On May 18th, 2023, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit received a felony arrest warrant for 20-year-old Jesus Antonio Mendez Jr. Mendez was wanted for three counts of Aggravated Assault (with a deadly weapon). Deputies contacted him at his residence at 1300 block of Pullman in El Paso County, TX. Mendez was taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Jail with a $50,000 bond.

May 19, 2023

On May 18th, 2023, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office deputies with Fugitive Apprehension Unit received a felony arrest warrant for 55-year-old Paul Dominguez. Dominguez was wanted for two outstanding criminal warrants. Deputies located Dominguez at his residence at the 5100 block of Willow Creek Dr., El Paso, TX. Dominguez was taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Jail for Burglary of Habitation with a bond set at $50,000.00 and Criminal Mischief with a bond set at $1,500.00.

FUGITIVE APPREHENSION UNIT ARREST- Janeth Granados

May 19, 2023

On May 18th, 2023, deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit received a felony arrest warrant for 39-year-old Janeth Samaniego Granados. Granados was located at the 10000 block of Jamaica in El Paso, Texas. Granados was arrested for Theft of Property>=$2,500<$30K ENH IAT with a $10,000 bond. Subject Granados was arrested and subsequently booked without further incident.

FUGITIVE APPREHENSION UNIT ARREST Felisa Munoz (Zambrano)

El Paso, Texas - Deputies assigned to the Backgrounds & Polygraph portion of the SCaB Unit were working on a background packet for Felisa Munoz, who was applying to become a contract worker within the county. During the process, investigators located a criminal warrant in Munoz's maiden name Zambrano for Driving While Intoxicated. The warrant was issued back in 2017. Munoz was arrested at Sheriff's Office Headquarters, where she denied any involvement. Deputies confirmed that the warrant was issued for Felisa Munoz (Zambrano). She was placed under arrest and booked into the County Jail with a $5,000.00 bond.

FUGITIVE APPREHENSION UNIT ARREST - Jazzhirae Evans

El Paso, Texas - On May 16, 2023, the Special Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation requested assistance from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit to execute an out-state arrest warrant for 34-year-old Jazzhirae Monique Evans. Evans was wanted out of the State of Florida for Home Invasion Robbery with Firearm or Deadly Weapon. According to the FBI, Evans was also involved in a Bank Robbery currently under investigation. The FBI stated that Evans was scheduled for Veterans Court In El Paso County, Texas, on May 17, 2023, at 1000 hours. In collaboration with deputies assigned to Courthouse Security and the Fugitive Apprehension Unit, Evans was taken into custody when she showed up for her court hearing on May 17, 2023. Evans was booked under FFJ from Florida with No Bond.

FUGITIVE APPREHENSION UNIT ARREST - Alfredo Torres

El Paso, Texas - On May 17, 2023, Deputies from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit obtained a felony arrest warrant for 59-year-old Alfredo Sandoval Torres. Torres was wanted for Driving While Intoxicated (3rd or more). Deputies arrived at the 9000 block of Rosa Richardson El Paso, Texas, and located Torres. Torres was taken into custody without incident and booked into El Paso County Jail with a bond set at $ 16,000.00.

FUGITIVE APPREHENSION UNIT ARREST- Victor Diaz

May 18, 2023

El Paso, TexasOn May 17, 2023, Deputies from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit obtained three arrest warrants for 25-year-old Victor Diaz. Diaz was wanted for one count of Theft Prop >=$2,500 <30K ENH IAT, one count of Forgery Financial Instr >= $2,500 <30K ENH IAT, and one count of Exploitation of Child/Elderly/Disabled. Diaz turned himself into FAU and was booked into El Paso County Jail with a bond set at $50,000.00.

The Sheriff's Office hosted the event at the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Headquarters Memorial Wall at 3850 Justice Dr., El Paso, TX 79938. During the ceremony, the Sheriff's Office paid tribute to the lives of those who protect and serve us every minute of every day and honored the courageous officers who devoted themselves so entirely to others that, in the process, they laid down their lives. May 14 through May 20, 2023, is observed as "National Police Week" nationwide, recognizing law enforcement officers who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty protecting the public they serve.
