On November 5, 2024, El Paso County voters approved three of five proposed Capital Improvement Bond propositions, paving the way for transformative public projects across the County. These voter-approved initiatives represent a commitment to improving public parks, expanding animal care services, and strengthening forensic operations.
Proposition A includes $95,615,000 for the public purpose of constructing, rehabilitating, renovating, improving, upgrading, updating, expanding, enlarging, and equipping the County’s parks and recreational spaces and the acquisition of land, easements, rights-of-way, and other real property interests necessary.
Proposition B includes $26,700,000 for the public purpose of constructing, rehabilitating, renovating, improving, upgrading, updating, expanding, enlarging, and equipping facilities for the County’s Office of the Medical Examiner and the acquisition of land, easements, rights-of-way, and other real property interests necessary.
Proposition E includes $32,710,000 for the public purpose of constructing, rehabilitating, renovating, improving, upgrading, updating, expanding, enlarging, and equipping the County’s Animal Shelter and the acquisition of land, easements, rights-of-way, and other real property interests necessary.
