The District Clerk’s Office serves as an acceptance agency for the US Department of State. Call our office to set up an appointment at (915) 273-3534 extension 4036 to obtain passport acceptance services. Walk-ins will not be accepted. Please be advised that the U. S. If you do not have a life-or-death emergency, you will experience significant delays before receiving your passport and the return of your citizenship documents such as previous passports, and birth and naturalization certificates. You must arrive on time to your appointment. We are located at 500 E. San Antonio, Suite 103, El Paso, Texas 79901 (1st floor of county courthouse). Only the applicant(s) (and parents, if applicable) will be allowed inside the courthouse/office. If you are more than 10 minutes late, your appointment will be forfeited and you will need to reschedule.

We are committed to protect you and our county employees and it is our goal to expedite the passport acceptance process as quickly as possible; therefore, applicants will not be allowed to complete form(s) inside the courthouse nor the District Clerk’s Office. It is imperative that all forms are completed before entering. DO NOT sign the passport application as the passport acceptance agent is required to witness the applicant’s signature.
