- Commander Haack
Commander Stephen Haack was raised in Melbourne, Florida, and relocated to El Paso, Texas, in 1994 after serving in the US Navy. He began his career with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office in 1995 as a Detention Officer. Commander Haack was promoted to Deputy Sheriff in 1997. While serving as a deputy, he was a member of the S.W.A.T. Team and a Field Training Officer for new deputies. Commander Haack was promoted to the rank of Detective in 2003. Commander Haack initially worked as a property crime detective but was later transferred to Narcotics Investigations. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2015. While a Sergeant, he served as a first-line supervisor in Patrol, Administrative Patrol Investigations, and Narcotics Investigations. In 2020, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. He served as the Station Commander of the Northwest Patrol Station and in the Criminal Investigations Division sections of Directed Investigations and Narcotics. Commander Haack was appointed Commander in 2023 and assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division.
