The Pretrial Supervision Unit supervises felony and misdemeanor defendants who are granted pretrial release, which requires the defendant to comply with court-ordered conditions. If an individual is granted pretrial release, a Pretrial Supervision Officer will be assigned to the case and will monitor the individual’s progress throughout the adjudication period.
The goal of supervision is to enhance public safety and court appearance rates. Each defendant receives a court reminder before each court date. Pretrial Services will notify the court in cases of serious or repeated violations of conditions.
