El Paso, TX – The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has launched a FREE Spay and Neuter Program for residents of El Paso County.

The spay and neuter program is open to residents of Horizon City, Vinton, Socorro, Anthony, Clint, San Elizario, and residents of other unincorporated areas within El Paso County.

**** Spay and Neuter services will now be available by appointment ONLY. ****

Please take note of the following before booking your spay and neuter appointment.

Ø All spay and neuter services are available by appointment ONLY.

Ø Appointments are limited to the first 20 pets per event.

Ø To schedule an appointment call (915) 886-2724, (915)851-0191, and (915) 856-4875.

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH MEETING

 

El Paso, TX – El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Community Services Section along with the residents of the Aguas neighborhoods will host a Neighborhood Watch meeting on Thursday, August 23, 2018.

Neighborhood Watch is one of the oldest and most well-known crime prevention programs, bringing citizens together with law enforcement to deter crime and make communities safer. Deputies will share information about preventing easy opportunity thefts such as leaving property and vehicles unsecured. Residents will be able to ask questions or voice concerns about their neighborhoods.

The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m., on the 600 block of Agua Del Rio.

If you are a resident of this subdivision and would like to join the Neighborhood Watch, or are interested in starting your own neighborhood watch program, please contact the Sheriff’s Office Community Services Section at 915-538-2098.

Meeting is open to our media partners, please contact Public Information Officer Leslie Antunez for meeting address. (Location is at a resident’s home and they do not want to have their address released to the public.)

El Paso, TX – The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Pets Advancing Wellness Success (PAWS) program has been busy training and finding cadets “furever” homes.

Sheriff Richard Wiles and the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office in partnership with the Animal Rescue League of El Paso created the PAWS (Pets Advancing Wellness and Success) vocational program to assist inmates in attaining vocational training and to provide homeless pets an opportunity to be adopted.

Hanna completed the program on August 7th, 2018, and has found her “furever” home. She was a canine cadet for 17 weeks and she completed her obedience training requirements.

UNITED BLOOD “BATTLE OF THE BADGES”

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Community Services Section and Explorer Post 2005 will be attending the 8th Annual United Blood Services Battle of the Badges Blood Drive.

The blood drive will be held August 3rd – 5th, 2018, at Cielo Vista Mall. The annual friendly competition between dedicated first responders from the Sheriff’s Office, El Paso Police Department, and the El Paso Fire Department have challenged residents of El Paso to donate blood and help save lives. Sheriff’s Office deputies and explorers will be at the blood drive to recruit donors and donate blood themselves.

Make plans to donate blood and cast your vote for the Sheriff’s Office, donation times will be Friday, August 3, from 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Saturday, August 4, from 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, August 5, from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.IMG_2376
