El Paso, Texas - On Thursday, May 25, 2023, Deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit received an arrest warrant for 24-year-old Fernando Frankie Soto, who was wanted on a felony criminal warrant for Assault Fam/House Member Impede Breath/Circulation. Deputies located Soto at the 10500 block of Ashwood. Soto was taken into custody without incident. Soto was subsequently booked into the El Paso County Jail with a $55,000.00 bond.

El Paso, Texas - On Thursday, May 25, 2023, Deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit received an arrest warrant for 38-year-old Days, Jonathan Wendell, who was wanted on two felony criminal warrants for Indecency with a child sexual contact and one count of Burglary of Habitation. Jonathan Days turned himself in to Deputies at the 600 block of E. Overland after several attempts to locate him. Subject Days was subsequently booked into the El Paso County Jail with a 76,000.00 bond.

El Paso, Texas - On Thursday, May 25, 2023, Deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit received an arrest warrant for 23-year-old Medina Sanchez Carlos Arturo, who was wanted on four felony criminal warrants for Smuggling of Persons. Subject Medina was located at the 1000 block of El Paso Street. Medina was taken into custody by El Paso County Fugitive and Apprehension Unit without incident. Medina was subsequently booked into the El Paso County Jail with a $100,000.00 bond.

MULTICULTURAL EVENT MESITA ELEMENTARY

El Paso, Texas - On Thursday, May 25th, 2023, EL Paso County Sheriff's Office Deputies from the Community Service section and Explorers from the EL Paso County Sheriff's Office Explorer Post 2005 participated in a multicultural event at Mesita Elementary School located at 3307 N. Stanton St. The event was for elementary school students grades Kinder through fifth. The event consisted of a talent show performed by the students. Explorers and Deputies assisted the event with crowd control and traffic control. Explorers also assisted by assembling and disassembling the stage for the event.

El Paso, Texas - On Wednesday, May 24, 2023, Deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit received an arrest warrant for 29-year-old Daniel Rojas, who was wanted on five felony criminal warrants for Assault Family/Household member previous convictions and two misdemeanor criminal warrants for Assault Family Violence. Fugitive & Apprehension Deputies located subject Rojas at the 100 Block of S. Eucalyptus in El Paso County. The subject was subsequently booked into El Paso County Jail without bond on the five felony warrants and a 300,000.00 bond for the remaining misdemeanor warrants.

EL PASO, TEXAS - On Thursday, May 18th, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Deputies assigned to the East Montana Patrol Station attended a Career Day at Glen Cove Elementary located at 10955 Sam Snead Dr. Deputies met with several students ranging from Pre-K to 5th grade who were excited and interested in the duties of a Deputy. Deputies showcased the patrol unit and their equipment.

El Paso, Texas - On May 23, 2023, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputies from the Northwest Patrol Station participated in career day at Tom Lea Elementary School. Deputies met with 5th-grade students and provided them insight into the daily duties of deputies in the field and the skills needed to join the Sheriff’s Office law enforcement team, both in the jails and on patrol. Students also took part in equipment demonstrations and showed much interest in the law enforcement careers offered by our office.

PREP CAMP 02 RECAP

El Paso, Texas - On Saturday, May 20, 2023, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Women Behind the Badge held their second Prep Camp. Twenty attendees showed interest in joining the Sheriff’s Office. The Women Behind the Badge gave a first look into the department and shared their job experiences. Most attendees participated in the physical fitness readiness portion, with several passing the physical assessment on this same day. Some attendees said they would not have passed the test had it not been for the Women Behind the Badge inspiring them. These women exemplify the Sheriff’s Office motto, “We Serve with Pride.” Future Prep Camps will be announced at a later date.

TRAFFIC STOP ARREST- Irving Andres Mandujano

El Paso, Texas - On May 21, 2023, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputies assigned to the Montana Patrol Station conducted a traffic stop at the 14900 block of Edgemere Blvd. The driver, 19-year-old Irving Andrés Mandujano. As a result of the investigation, Deputies located a stolen handgun along with Cocaine, Mushrooms, and Marijuana. Mandujano was placed under arrest and charged with Unlawful Carrying Weapons, Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Manufacture or Delivery of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, and Possession of Marijuana. Mandujano was booked into the El Paso County Jail with a $120,500 bond.

Missing Person VICTOR MANUEL Flores JR. HAS BEEN LOCATED

El Paso, Texas - The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the assistance of the El Paso County community in locating the following missing person. On 05/22/2023 at 3:45 pm., El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Deputies received information from the Reporter at 435 Vinton (Northwest Patrol Station), El Paso, TX, in reference to a missing adult. The missing adult has been identified as 28-year-old Victor Manuel Flores Jr. Deputies received information that Victor was last seen by his father/Reporter on 05/01/2023 at his residence. Victor is believed to be in need of medical assistance.

Anyone with information regarding Victor Manuel Flores Jr. or his whereabouts is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 915-832-4408 or 9-1-1.

FUGITIVE APPREHENSION UNIT ARREST-Jesus Javier Lopez

El Paso, Texas - On May 22, 2023, El Paso County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit received an anonymous tip on the whereabouts of one of El Paso Sheriff's Office Most Wanted. FAU deputies located 25-year-old Lopez Jesus Javier at the 5200 block of Joe Herrera in El Paso County Deputies. Lopez was wanted for Indecency W/ Child Sexual Contact. He was arrested without incident and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a $75,000 bond.
