El Paso, TX - On Wednesday, May 29, 2019, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputies assigned to the Fugitive Apprehension and Warrants Section arrested a wanted individual in east El Paso County.

 

Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation at a residence located on the 200 block of Riverside Dr. that led to the arrest of Manuel Joseph Barraza.

 

Barraza, age 64, was taken into custody at the residence and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.

 

He was wanted for an outstanding felony warrant for Falsely Holding Oneself Out as a Lawyer.

As of June 1, 2019, Cisneros was taken into custody on the 10900 block of Montwood Dr. and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility by the El Paso Police Department.

April 16, 2019

 

El Paso, TX – The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is requesting assistance from the community in locating Francisco Cisneros.

 

On Thursday, May 23, 2019, Cisneros absconded from the El Paso Multi-Use Facility located at 1700 Horizon Blvd. and his whereabouts are unknown.

 

He is now wanted on a parole violation and an additional charge of Sex Offenders Duty to Register is forthcoming. His sex offense is for Sexual Assault of a Child out of the State of Texas, the victim being a 16-year-old female. Cisneros is currently on parole for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Evading Arrest Detention with a Vehicle.

El Paso, TX- The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has launched a FREE Spay and Neuter Program for residents of El Paso County.

Animals that are spayed or neutered can also receive their microchip, rabies and booster shots FREE. Services cannot be administered independently; you must have the three services done the same day.

 

The spay and neuter program is open to residents of Horizon City, Vinton, Socorro, Anthony, Clint, San Elizario, and residents of other unincorporated areas within El Paso County. 

 

**** Spay and Neuter services will now be available by appointment ONLY. ****

 

Please take note of the following before booking your spay and neuter appointment.

 

Ø  Appointments are limited to the first 20 pets per event.

Ø  To schedule an appointment call (915) 886-2724, (915)851-0191, and (915) 856-4875.

*Please note the program will now provide animals with their surgery, vaccines, and microchip. Services cannot be provided individually, they must ALL be administered on the scheduled surgery day.

El Paso, TX - On Tuesday, May 28, 2019, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputies assigned to the Fugitive Apprehension and Warrants Section arrested two individuals in Canutillo, Texas.

 

Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation at a residence located in the 7500 block of Wiloughby Rd.  Deputies made contact with Michael Boonshim age 28, as he was attempting to flee from the home.

Boonshim was detained by deputies and further investigation determined he was wanted for an outstanding warrant for Criminal Mischief.

 

A search of the residence resulted in the arrest of Maria Elena Galan, age 27.

Galan was wanted for two outstanding warrants for Robbery and an Aggravated Robbery warrant.

 

Both individuals were booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.

May 13, 2019

 

El Paso, TX – On Friday, May 10, 2019, Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a deadly conduct call in Horizon City.

 

Upon arrival, deputies observed several projectiles had been shot at the front door of a residence located on the 400 block of Sunrise Hills Dr. No injuries were reported by the residents of the home.

 

Through the course of the investigation, investigators were able to identify the vehicle and offenders with the help of home video surveillance gathered from the neighborhood.

 

Four individuals were detained as a result and two were subsequently charged and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility for Deadly Conduct each with $20,000 bonds.

El Paso, TX – El Paso County Sheriff’s Office investigators concluded their theft investigation with the arrest of Ronnie Rojas.

 

On January 23, 2019, Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call out of Horizon City, in reference to a stolen all-terrain vehicle (ATV). 

 

Through the course of the investigation, investigators identified the suspect and pick-up truck wanted in connection with the theft.

 

On Wednesday, May 8, 2019, a search warrant was executed at the suspect's residence as a result, detectives successfully recovered the stolen ATV. 

 

Rojas, age 42, was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility for Theft of Property >=$2500<30K, with a $5,000 bond.

May 8, 2019

 

El Paso, TX – On Monday, May 6, 2019, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputies assigned to the Fugitive Apprehension and Warrants Section arrested three individuals in Central El Paso.

 

Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation at a residence located on the 2100 block of Tremont Ave. following a Crime Stoppers tip received on the location of Wayne Gonzalez.

 

Deputies made contact with a female at the residence and they were allowed inside to conduct a search for Gonzalez. Through the course of the investigation, deputies located a second individual hiding inside a closet. Michael Ruff was taken into custody by deputies for outstanding warrants for Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1< 1G, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Resist Arrest, Search or Transport. After searching the residence, deputies were advised Gonzalez was hiding in a closet within an undisclosed hiding place under a furnace. Gonzalez was located in the hiding place and taken into custody for nine outstanding warrants for Forgery Financial Instrument and Theft of Property >=$1500 <$20K.

Deputies also took into custody Kellie Sanders for an outstanding warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1 < 1G.

 

All three individuals were booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.

El Paso, TX –   On April 29, 2019, El Paso Sheriff’s Office Detectives assigned to the Montana Patrol Station conducted an investigation following a tip received on social media of an illegal dumping incident.

 

On April 27, 2019, the wanted subject was seen dumping a mattress and table in the desert area near the 2000 block of Jobe Rd. before driving away from the area.

 

Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified the wanted individual as Olaoye Amussah age 27. On Tuesday, April 30, 2019, Amussah was taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility for Illegal Dumping >5lbs <500lbs.

 

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind the public that Illegal Dumping is punishable up to a third-degree felony dependent on the circumstance surrounding the offense.  Generally, the penalty is (1) a fine  (2) confinement in jail; or (3) both fine and confinement.

 

A person commits an offense if the person disposes or allows or permits the disposal of litter or other solid waste at a place that is not an approved solid waste site, including a place on or within 300 feet of a public highway, on a right-of-way, on other public or private property, or into inland or coastal water of the state.

El Paso, TX –   On April 29, 2019, El Paso Sheriff’s Office Detectives assigned to the Montana Patrol Station conducted a theft investigation in east El Paso County. 

 

On April 23, 2019, the victim reported to Sheriff’s Office deputies that metal sheets and iron pieces had been stolen from his property located on the 15000 block of Montana Ave.

 

Through the course of the investigation, detectives returned to the property to gather more information and they encountered an individual removing metal sheets from the property. Detectives made contact with Gregory Paul Parlier Jr. age 32, and determined that he had been on the property on previous occasions to remove the metal sheets.

 

Parlier was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility for Theft of Property >=$2500 <$30K with a $5000 bond.
