PAWS IN DETENTION ATTEND ESCONTRIAS ELEMENTARY CAREER DAY

El Paso, Texas- On March 03, 2022, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office PAWS (Pets Advancing Wellness and Success) in Detention section attended Escontrias Elementary for a Career Day. Students and staff learned about the P.A.W.S. program and how to become a Detention Officer or a Deputy. Officer Fernandez and Ortega along with P.A.W.S. Canine Cadet Addie attended the event and conducted demonstrations on basic commands. Canine Cadets from the P.A.W.S. program can be adopted through the Animal Rescue League of El Paso by calling (915) 877-5002.
