Peter J. Herrera Patrol Station and deputies from East Montana Patrol Station delivered a presentation on cyberbullying and terroristic threats to Alfonso Borrego Sr. Elementary School students.

EL PASO, TEXAS – On February 16, 2024, deputies from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office assigned to the Peter J. Herrera and Montana Stations conducted a visit to the students at Alfonso Borrego Sr. Elementary School, where they provided education on subjects including cyberbullying and terroristic threats.During this opportunity, the Deputies took the initiative to engage and interact with the children and school staff to foster a stronger relationship. They also sought to educate them on the potential dangers of participating in cyberbullying, emphasizing its connection to harassment and the possibility of it escalating into a criminal offense with associated consequences. Additionally, the Deputies provided information to students regarding the risks and repercussions of improperly utilizing social media platforms.
