WANTED SEX OFFENDER – NEVAREZ, JESUS JR

El Paso, TX – El Paso County Sheriff's Office is requesting assistance from the community in locating Jesus Nevarez Jr. (49).

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice /Parole Division recently initiated a home verification check and information was obtained. Sex offender Jesus Nevarez Jr. no longer resides at his verified address and his whereabouts are unknown. He failed to notify the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office S.O.R.T. unit and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice /Parole Division of his change of address.

He is now wanted on a parole violation warrant and an additional charge of Sex Offenders Duty to Register is forthcoming. He is a registered sex offender following a conviction for Sexual Assault, the victim being a 26 year old female and is currently on parole for Sex Offenders Duty to Register Life/Annually.

EL PASO COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE ANIMAL CRUELTY ARREST–RUEDA

July 9, 2021

El Paso, TX – On June 6 , 2021 El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to the 700 block of Plazer in reference to an Animal Cruelty case. Deputies met with the reporter who stated that there was an unresponsive canine on her neighbor’s yard that had not moved since 1330 hrs.

Deputies checked the area and observed a large grey and white canine lying on its side, motionless. Deputies observed the canine to have his eyes open, but no signs of breathing. Deputies observed 2 buckets with no water or food. Animal Welfare Unit was requested to assist. Animal Welfare Officers checked the property and located two more dogs on the property with no sign of any water or food recently being provided. The dogs did not have proper shelter and had dug multiple holes in the ground to help cool off. Dogs also seemed very dehydrated and were excessively panting from the high temperature.

Detectives from Montana Patrol Station Animal Cruelty Unit took over the investigation and were able to locate the property owner (OFFENDER) who was later identified as Rueda, Esther. The OFFENDER admitted to detectives that she failed to provide care for her dogs.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for the offender on July 8, 2021 and she was booked into El Paso County Jail with a bond set at $10,000.00.

July 8, 2021

El Paso, TX – El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Deputies assigned to patrol assisted in the Fourth of July clean-up along the Montana Vista areas on Wednesday, July 7th, 2021.

Deputies along with the assistance of inmates housed at the Jail Annex and TX DOT collected trash left over on the streets from the holiday gatherings. There was a total of 8 inmates and the clean-up took approximately 4 hours. The majority of the areas were already cleaned up by the citizens of El Paso on Monday, July 5; therefore, a total of approximately 75 bags were collected and picked up by TX DOT.

SHERIFF’S OFFICE ARRESTS WANTED SUBJECT

El Paso, Texas – On July 5, 2021, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the 14500 block of Van Fleet, in reference to a wanted subject.

Sheriff’s Office Deputies conducted an investigation following a tip received on the location of Cesar Valles. Sheriff’s Deputies located Valles at the residence and he was taken into custody. Valles was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender with a bond of $100,000.00.

Valles was previously featured through Crime Stoppers of El Paso Most Wanted.
