Deputies conducted a welfare check and discovered that a family (husband, wife, and five children) were staying in a small tent by the river because they had recently been evicted from their apartment and had no place to stay. Upon realizing the situation of this family, the deputies immediately coordinated to provide the family with food, water, and blankets. Also, deputies were able to make arrangements with the Salvation Army, who accepted the mother and children to provide them with shelter and other services. Deputies transported the children and their mother to the Salvation Army, while the husband was provided gas money by deputies so he could utilize his vehicle to visit his family.
